1. Chapman House Marker

Inscription. Cottage built for Sarah E. Chapman (born c. 1807), who resided here with Ivey Prescott Bell (1814-1868), ship carpenter; and wife, Rebecca (1826-1909), and son, Benjamin (1852- 1923), co-founder of Jackson & Bell, printers. Purchased in 1927 for rental income by Elizabeth Winston Broadfoot (1895-1991).
