This Lauster prototype was built in 1969 on behalf of the German army for military testing of the "Lauster axle". Installed between the wheels, the Lauster axle can be lowered and switched on as a drive. In addition to better distributed ground pressure of the tractor, a significantly increased tractive force was achieved even in difficult terrain.
