Emmitsburg High School. Est. 1922. , Emmitsburg High School was constructed in 1922 for students in grades 1-11, Elementary school classes were taught on the building's ground floor. High school classes were taught on the second floor and in the basement. In 1950 Maryland State requirements to obtain a high school graduation diploma were increased to 12 years of school.
