1. First Presbyterian Church Marker
Inscription. In the fall of 1836 the Rev. William Ferry, his wife Amanda, his sister Mary A. White, and six others banded together to form the First Church in Grand Haven, First Presbyterian Church. It was said of Rev. Ferry, "he had an abiding faith in the overruling providence of God... he never compromised with truth, nor swerved from principle." the present sanctuary dates from 1954.
