Regarding Trump International Hotel & Tower. As of 2024, the 1,389-foot Trump International Hotel & Tower ranks
as the third tallest all-concrete building in the United States, behind the 1,550-foot Central Park Tower, built in New York in 2020, and the 1,397-foot 432 Park Avenue, built in New York in 2015. It is also five feet shorter than the all-concrete, 1,397-feet-tall Marina 101 in Dubai, which opened in 2017. The Trump building remains the second tallest building in Chicago, behind the Willis Tower, which is 62 feet taller. It is now the seventh tallest building in the United States; in addition to the Central Park Tower (2nd), Willis Tower (3rd) and 432 Park Avenue (6th), One World Trade Center (1st, completed in 2014), 111 West 57th Street (4th, completed in 2021) and One Vanderbilt Avenue (5th, completed in 2020) were all completed in New York after 2009. The Trump Hotel is the 32nd tallest building in the world.
The Trump Tower replaced the squat Chicago Sun-Times Building, which was completed in 1954 and torn down in 2004.

The Trump International Hotel replaced the Chicago Sun-Times headquarters building, which was built in the 1950s and torn down in 2004. The IBM Building is visible behind the Sun-Times building.
