Inscription.  German:

English Translation:
Basically, our museum strives to keep all exhibits in as functional a condition as possible. However, this is only possible to a limited extent for armored military vehicles due to legal regulations, as in Germany armored vehicles that are in private museums must be modified (demilitarized) in such a way that driving under armor protection is no longer possible. This applies not only to battle tanks, but to all armored vehicles, such as armored recovery vehicles, and even to armored parts such as a chassis without a turret or the turret alone. In the case of more modern tanks, the demilitarization measures were only possible using the most modern oxygen lances due to the extremely strong armor plates (picture right).

According to the law, two 50 x 50 cm pieces must be cut out of the turret armor on each side, one 50 x 60 cm piece must be cut out of the upper and lower bow armor on tank hulls, and four 30 x 40 cm pieces must be cut out of the side walls on each side. There are also regulations for rendering the weapons unusable and for

destroying the drive system. All weapons, military aircraft and combat vehicles on display in the museum have been demilitarized in accordance with legal requirements. In the open air, the cut-out pieces of armor are usually displayed next to the vehicles (picture on the right).
