1. Williams-Agostini House Marker
Inscription. Cottage built for Hosea Williams (b. 1816), cooper; and wife, Margaret Stephens (b. 1816), natives of Onslow County. Purchased in 1857 by William Cookman (1812-1862), native of Ireland and gunsmith with W. H. Marks and Company. Inherited by his wife Maria (1820-1889), native of Ireland. In 1868, she married Francis M. Agostini (1814-1886), native of the Isle of Corsica and confectionary shop owner. The house remained in the Agostini family until 1944.
