1. Versailles Woodford County Marker
Inscription. From 1922, the home of Albert Benjamin Chandler. This illustrious son of the Pennyrile was elected state senator from the county. He was chosen by the people of Kentucky to be Lieutenant Governor. He twice served his people as United States Senator, and was twice honored by being elected Governor of the Commonwealth. In addition, his dedication to sports inspired his appointment as National Commissioner of Baseball.
