Inscription. Seen from here is the San Francisco Peaks Complex. Highest is Humphrey Peak, elevation 12,611'. The fourth highest is Aubineau Peak 11,800'. Nearby is Aubineau Springs, the original source for Flagstaff's first water system. Subsequent developments in this area combined with Aubineau Springs supply Flagstaff with much of its fine water. These springs and Aubineau peak were named for Julius Aubineau, councilman 1898: 1900-1902 and mayor of Flagstaff 1898, and projector of its first water and sewer systems....

Contributed in his memory by his three surviving sons in the year 1968.
