1. Wessell-Harbers House Marker

Inscription. Italianate style house built for Captain Charles L.C. Wessell (1847-1919), native of Kingdom of Hannover, grocer and saloon keeper, steamboat and tugboat captain; and wife Anna Sophia Heins (1873-1902). Inherited by his second wife Rose Harbers (1879-1940), native of Charleston, SC. Remained in the family until 1969.
