Born John Elroy Sanford, this entertainer is best remembered for his explicit comedy records and his starring role on the 1970's sitcom Sanford and Son. Ranked in the top 25 best stand-up comedians, Foxx's famous catchphrases, body language and facial expressions from the sitcom are often portrayed in popular culture.

Betty Grable
1916-1973 BORN IN ST LOUIS, MO
This actress, singer and dancer is known for her World War II pin-up photo, which shows Grable looking over her shoulder while wearing a bathing suit. Grable's 42 movies during the 1930s and 1940s grossed more than $100 million. She set a record, appearing 12 consecutive years in the list of top 10 box office stars.

Jean Harlow
1911-1937 BORN IN KANSAS CITY, MO
Born Harlean Carpenter and nicknamed "Baby Jean," this actress was Hollywood's original "blonde bombshell" and the first film actress featured on the cover of Life magazine.
