Inscription.
The present two-story brick Gothic Revival structure with a gable and tower; arched tracery windows; and narrow bays was completed in March 1877. Before that, services were held in the Bradford County Courthouse. Plans were drawn by W. Fleming, and the construction contract went to William Kingsley, member and builder of the Universalist Church of Standing Stone. The windows were installed by C. And W. H. Myers of Buffalo, NY. Rev. G. J. Porter was called in August 1876 to be the first minister. The energy, patience and determination of Mr. Porter's father, the Rev. L. F. Porter, was instrumental in the successful completion of the church.
