Inscription. The Whistlestop Plaza Clock Tower is dedicated to Marvin Randle for his legendary service, devotion and love for the City of Irving and its people.

Marvin, a native of Irving born in 1936, came from humble beginnings of working on his Uncle's farm, picking cotton and then learning a skill in the Irving High School trades program. His success enabled him to give back to his community through selfless service.
