Inscription. Betelts 1682 wird hier ein Gasthaus «Cheval Blanc»/ «Zum Weissen Rössle» erwähnt, das bis Anfang des 19.Jahrhunderts betrieben wurde. Daneben gab es bis 1846 eine Hafnerwerkstatt (Töpferei) mit Geschirrladen, dessen Tradition bis heute weitergeführt wird. Vor dem Anwesen auf dem Neutorplatz war die Haltestelle der 1906- 1907 betriebenen Buslinie des Motorwagenbetriebes Breisach-Schallstadt.

Au Cheval blanc - La première mention de l'auberge «Au Cheval Blanc» date de 1682. Elle reste en exploitation jusqu'au début du 19es. A côté de l'auberge, se trouvait, jusqu'en 1846, un atelier de poterie avec point de vents, dont la tradition se poursuit encore de nos jours. Devant la propriété, sur la place de la Porte-Neuve, se trouvait l’arret de bus de la ligne Breisach-Schallstadt.

Former restaurant «Zum Weissen Rössie» (The White Horse), already mentioned in 1682 and operated until the start of the 19th century. Had a stovefitter's workshop until 1846.
