Regarding Welch Hall. Henry Hornbostel (August 15, 1867 – December 13, 1961) was an American architect and educator. He designed more than 225 buildings, bridges, and monuments in the United States, nearly half of which (110) are located in Pittsburgh. Welch Hall, a residential house with a capacity of approximately 55 students, was designated a Pittsburgh Historic Landmark in 2000.
