For 143 years, the family owned and operated C.B. Cummings & Sons Co. employed several generations of area residents and was a mainstay of the local business community. Manufacturers of sawn lumber; toy and furniture components; and finished furniture for distribution throughout the U.S.; the Company was at one time the world's largest producer of hardwood dowels.
