Wine Cellar
Cave du Vin
This stone-walled wine/root-cellar is from the original French Azilum village. Several items, including bottles, glassware and ironware were found during the 1956-1957 winter excavation.
These items can be viewed in the Museum Cabin.
This cellar was most likely part of one of the fifty or so two-story log cabins built from 1793-1795. Each cabin was built on a half acre lot.
Erected by French Azilum Historic Site, Endless Mountains Heritage Region, and PA Dept of Conservation and Natural Resources.
