Inscription. Queen Anne style house built as rental property for John J. Fowler (1851-1915), civil servant and mayor; and wife, Lula Heiser, native of Sumter, SC. Purchased in 1948 by John B. Pastis (1909-2003), native of the island of Icaria, Greece, owner and operator of Southside Lunch for forty years; and wife, Artemis Mavronicles (1911-1997), native of Verona, PA.
