Tinley Park in Cook County, Illinois — The American Midwest (Great Lakes)
Columbia Hotel/Funk's Tavern
17332 Oak Park Avenue
The building became known as Fee's Restaurant and Tavern after the Funk family sold the business in the early 1970s to Thomas Fee.
Edward F. Clark and Joseph Pels opened their carryout pizza business in February 1961. Michael Clark took over the business in 1978 from his father. In 2001, the building was extensively renovated and looks much as it did in 1892. In the interior, the original pressed tin ceiling has once again been exposed and refurbished. Rental apartments now occupy the upper floor.
Erected by Village of Tinley Park.
