The "SUB," as it was affectionately known, was the first dedicated space on campus for students to gather informally. It included a snack bar, bookstore, dining hall, banquet room, alumni and faculty lounges, and rec rooms for Greek and other student organizations. The original Pouch Club was added in 1979. After half a century of serving as the campus hub, the Student Union Building was razed in 2001 with the construction of the Wright Campus Center.(Submitted on December 31, 2024, by James Hulse of Medina, Texas.)
