Old Main, the first building on the Sherman campus, was directly north of the present Caruth Administration building. The two-story brick structure held offices, classrooms, and a library. The building was destroyed by arson in 1913, just as significant improvements to the facility were nearing completion.(Submitted on December 31, 2024, by James Hulse of Medina, Texas.)
