Garden of Peace. . , To the eternal memory of the many Americans who gave their lives in the service of their country, Let us resolve that these honored dead shall not have died in vain. May their sacrifice live on in the minds of men., Grant unto them O Lord eternal rest , ND 1971, Americans Believe , That each individual has a right to life, liberty, and happiness , That every right implies a responsibility, every opportunity, an obligation , That laws are made to be obeyed, that government is the servant of the people, not their master , That truth and justice are fundamental to an enduring social order , That a promise given is sacred and a man's word should be as good as his bond , That peace will come with man's triumph over envy, Americans Believe , That good character, not wealth and power will eventually access an individual’s worth , That unselfish deeds will set a man’s human soul free of life’s burdens , That service to God first, country and family will guide one’s decisions of where obligation begins , That charity and love will overcome hate and triumph over might , That life’s fulfillment comes from the giving of one’s self daily , That death is merely the beginning of eternal happiness
