1. 1200 Main Street marker

Inscription. This Neoclassical building was erected in 1912 for Humboldt's City Hall. Originally it housed the Mayor's office and Humboldt Business Men's Club (later Chamber of Commerce) on the first floor with the courtroom on the second floor. The city jail and Police Department were added to the basement. It served as City Hall until 1981 and was restored in the 1990's to house the Chamber, Strawberry Festival Historical Museum, and the West TN Regional Art Center.
