The Cedars was home to many prominent merchants and civic leaders, and Daniel Sullivan served on the Dallas City Commission in the early 20th century. One of the neighborhood's principal attractions was City Park, now home to Dallas Heritage Village.
Fun Fact
From 1936 to 1941, City Park was called Sullivan Park in honor of Daniel Sullivan, Dallas's first Water Commissioner.

Construido a sólo unas cuadras de Dallas Heritage Village, en la esquina de las calles Akard y Beaumont en el vecindario Cedars, de moda en este entonces, esta casa fue ocupada por casi 100 años por la familia de Daniel F. y Mary Sullivan.
