1. Bailey House Marker
Inscription. Built by John C. Bailey (1818-1880), native of Sweden who came to Wilmington circa 1852 as pattern maker for Clarendon Iron Works: in 1859 he became co-partner in Hart, Bailey & Co., later known as Wilmington Iron Works; house is example of Victorian Italianate style of architecture.
