Inscription. Bogle and Black, the first official auto dealership in Centerville, located here after Huddleston Livery Stable was torn down. It was replaced by Thompson Brothers Garage in 1924, followed by McElroy Kaiser-Frazer Motors. The building was gutted by fire in 1947. It was repaired, the faηade was changed, and a second story added. The first floor was divided into two stores; the north side held the Dairy Dip, which opened in 1952, and the south side held Centerville Florist and Jewelers which opened in the late 1950s. The Greyhound Bus stop was located at the Dairy Dip. The Dixie Hotel took up the second floor. Federal Land Bank, Pat and Penny's Hair Shed, Diane's Restaurant, Hickman County Career Center, and Tennessee Properties were located here after the Dairy Dip closed in the 1970s. Little Hands Children's Shop-opened here in 2023.
