1. J.W. Fleet House Marker
Inscription. The Italianate style house built for John Williams Fleet (1861-1928); and wife, Maude Mortimer Cornwall (1864-1935), was originally a mirror image of the one they built next door. She was a native of Lillington, NC. He was the owner of J.W. Fleet Co., clothiers, and a Grand Master of the Cape Fear Lodge, International Order of Odd Fellows. The house was converted into apartments in 1930.
