1. Reuben Grant Cottage Marker
Inscription. Cottage built for Reuben Grant (1818-1880), native of Onslow County, Methodist minister and longtime member of Fifth Street Methodist Episcopal Church; and wife, Sarah Ann Dawson (1823-1888). Purchased in 1885 by Willie Ann Wood Price (1857-1931), who in c. 1905 removed the southern section of original house. Purchased in 1934 by Flossie E. Wallace (1882-1950), wife of David D. Barber (1877-1963), wholesale grocer with Worth Co. House remained in family for twenty-nine years.
