1. Wallace House Marker
Inscription. Neo-classical Revival style house built for Elizabeth Castle Wallace (1852-1927), native of Rowan County, NC; and husband, Thomas E. Wallace (1853-1920), Wilmington postmaster, and native of New York City. Purchased in 1941 by Frances Aline Furlong (1907-1988); and sister, Catherine Braden Furlong (1908-1978). The house remained in the family for thirty-seven years
