Dr. Jared Redfield House
1813
In the previous house on this site, owned by David and Ruth Naughty, lived the slaves Montros and Phillis and their enslaved children, including Pompey, Flora, Moses, Aaron, Abel, and Candace. Dr. Redfield built this federal-style "mansion house." It was bought by Judge George Landon in 1818; three generations of this family lived here for over 100 years. Acquired by Guilford Savings Bank in 1945.
