1. Yopp-Goodman House Marker
Inscription. Italianate style house built for William John Yopp (1824-1888), Wilmington & Weldon Railroad freight agent, and wife, Jane Warren (1834-1868). Rear addition, c. 1870. Purchased in 1888 by William (1843-1911) and Bernhardt (1845-1913) Goodman, natives of Germany, dry goods merchants, who added Queen Anne style porch and tower. Remained in family for eighty-four years. Saved for preservation by Historic Wilmington Foundation in 1995; moved from 106 N. Fifth Ave. by Mary Ann and David Keiser.
