1. Stein House Marker

Inscription. Tudor revival style house built for Harry J. Stein (1900-1990), native of London, England, draftsman and engineer with Atlantic Coast Line Railroad; and wife, Minnie Jaffe (1910-2001), native of Newcastle, England, manager of Castle Street Furniture Company. Mirror image cottage design attributed to Harry Stein. Remained in family until 1991.

2. Stein House Marker

house to the north, the Jaffe House. Harry Stein acquired both lots in 1932 and had both houses built simultaneously. He and his wife Minnie occupied the house at 314 N. 15th St. while Minnie Stein's parents, Harry and Dora Jaffe, lived in the house at 316 N. 15th St. The Jaffes were the owners of Castle Street Furniture Co.
