A large brick building on this corner was built for Barnwell & Woolard General Merchandise, replaced by Barnwell, McBride & Shouse. The building was divided in half, and the west section held the Blue Front Cafι then the original Loveless Cafι, opened by Lon and Annie Loveless. U Tote Um Grocery located here in 1953. Edward Breece opened a second cafι in this building, bringing the food here from the original Breece's Cafι kitchen, but sold it in 1959 to Ed Cotham. It was also headquarters for Ladd Bus Service and later Trailblazer Bus Service. Nellie's Cafι took over this building in the 1970s. L & L Video was located here in the early 1990s, followed by Fat and Sassy in 1995, then Derryberry Mortgages. The Gallery on the Square opened in 2017 and closed in 2023.
