Regarding Hiatt House. Excerpt from the October 1985 issue of The Magazine of Elon alumni publication:
'26 James Lawrence Hiatt, 411 North 15th Street, Wilmington, N.C., died on August 8. Mr. Hiatt retired from Sears Roebuck and Company in 1964 after 30 years of service. He was a member and ruling elder of St. Andrews Covenant Presbyterian Church and a member of the Carolina Yacht Club.
