Centerville Marketplace. . Built in 1911, this building was part of the Waynick Block, which consisted of four brick buildings on the south side of Church Street. Coble and Peeler Drug Store occupied this building until the mid-forties. The Waynick Block was sold to Loveless Brothers in 1928. The buildings suffered damage in the 1930 fire that burned part of the east section of the square. Other businesses in the Waynick buildings on Church Street were Waynick Dry Goods, Malager Dry Goods, Columbia Produce, Model Restaurant, Centerville Pool Hall, Frye Hardware, Arnold Watch Repair, Harber's Grocery, Davidson's Market, and the Rex Theater. Tiller Furniture had its first store here in 1945, later moving down the street. Johnson's Furniture was the next occupant, closing in 2000. Tennessee Properties had an office here until Korie Cochran purchased the building in 2011 and opened Centerville Marketplace.
