1. Hickman County Historical Society Marker
Inscription. The first known business on this lot was a general merchandise store. In 1920, the Jackson Restaurant, later called Lunn Restaurant, occupied this lot as part of the Beasley and Allen Building. The current building was constructed after the fire of 1930 by A.C. Bishop. Lambert's Electric shop was an early occupant. Leach's Jewelry moved from North Central Avenue into the building in 1956, and June's Fashion occupied part of the store. Donna's Fashion and Moore's Jewelry moved here in 1978. James Tucker bought the building in 1990 and opened State Farm Insurance, which remained until 1997. Floral Gallery then opened here from 1999 to 2006. Armstrong Pies was the next business in this space, and Centerville Donuts was here until 2016. The Hickman County Historical Society moved to the building in 2018.
