1. Love-Pretlow House Marker
Inscription. Craftsman style house built for William Walter Love (1877-1930), wholesale grocer and president of Carolina Packing Co., and wife Bettie Johnson (1880-1964). Purchased in 1923 by Annie Paddison Pretlow (1876-1959), wife of Joel Cook Pretlow (1874-1948). They were proprietors of the Friendly Cafeteria. House remained in family until 1971.
