1. Jesse James Mohn House Marker
Inscription. Craftsman style bungalow built for Jesse James Mohn (1903-1967), native of Pender County, furniture store salesman and bondsman; and wife, Ruth Vestus Gore (1917-1993), native of Columbus County and waitress at Dixie Cafe. The Mohns also ran the Vesta-rest apartments in Kure Beach in the 1950s. House purchased in 1959 by Harry Everett DeHart (1911-1989), native of Saluda, NC and fireman at Sunny Point Army Terminal: and wife, Margaret Allen (1911-2003). House remained in the family for twenty-five years.
