1. Arthur "Fiddlin" Smith Marker

Inscription. Smith recorded with Bluebird Records in 1938. From 1944 to 1948, he starred in Western movies. Later, he signed with Capitol Records, where his recordings were released under the moniker "The Original Arthur Smith and His Dixieliners". Smith's son, Earnest accompanied him on guitar on the 1963 album, Rare Old Time Fiddle Tunes. Arthur "Fiddlin" Smith died in Louisville, Kentucky on February 28, 1971. Roy Acuff announced his passing on the Grand Ole Opry and dubbed him "The King of Fiddlers". He was later buried near McEwen. Tennessee. Arthur Smith was inducted into The National Fiddler Hall of Fame in 2014.
