Chartered in 2009, the chapter's mission is to advocate for issues important to veterans. The organization assists homeless veterans in North Georgia, volunteers with the USO to welcome military personnel traveling through Atlanta's airport, and provides emergency financial help to community veterans and families of active-duty military, guard, and reserve.

It also provides financial and volunteer support to community organizations which serve the poor, troubled youth, battered women, and first responders. It proudly awards scholarships in memory of Georgians killed in action in Vietnam.

In all activities, the organization is mindful of its motto: "Never again will one generation of veterans abandon another."
