1. Queen Victoria’s Rifles Marker
On this spot was erected in 1923 a memorial to all ranks of Queen Victoria's Rifles who gave their lives for their country in the First World War 1914-1918.
The memorial having been destroyed in 1940 by the Germans this plaque has been placed by the Regiment on some of the original stones of the memorial to perpetuate their memory and in grateful remembrance of those who gave their lives in the Second World War 1939-1945.
