1. Blitchington-Smith House Marker
Inscription. Queen Anne style cottage built for William Eugene Blitchington (1880-1942), chief clerk at the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad; and wife Gertrude Henning (1881-1980), natives of Augusta, GA. Purchased in 1928 by Riley Dine Smith (1880-1954), city water and sewer meter reader; and wife, Nellie Bounds (1886-1926), native of Blenheim, SC. The house remained in the family for thirty-nine years.
