Regarding World War I Memorial. The traffic median behind the Marker running down Virginia Avenue and Mount Vernon Avenue contains 41 trees commemorating the 41 soldiers from Danville who died during World War I. Each tree is adjacent to an individual plaque with the name of fallen soldier.
