Regarding Schiffsgeschütz / Naval Gun on a Ship. The French 100 mm cannons were equipped on Hamburg class destroyers in the German Navy. As missile technology advanced in the 1970s, these guns were phased out and replaced with more effective missile systems, reflecting a broader shift in military strategy and naval warfare toward guided, precision weapons over traditional artillery.
