Die 7,5 cm Pak 40 (Panzerabwehrkanone 40) kam im Zweiten Weltkrieg auf allen Kriegsschauplätzen zum Einsatz und war neben der 8,8 cm Flak die wirksamste Panzerabwehrwaffe der Deutschen Wehrmacht. Die Pak 40 des Auto & Technik Museums stammt aus Diekirch in Luxemburg und wurde im Rahmen der Ardennenoffensive im Dezember 1944 eingesetzt.

The 7.5 cm Pak 40 (anti-tank gun 40) was used in all theaters of war in World War II and, besides the 8.8 cm anti-aircraft gun was most effective anti-tank weapon of the German Wehrmacht. The Pak 40 of the museum comes from Diekirch in Luxemburg and was employed during the Battle of the Bulge (also known as the Ardennes Offensive) in December 1944.

2. The Pak 40 gun and Marker
40) was a German 75 millimetre anti-tank gun of the Second World War. The gun was developed in 1939–1941 and entered service in 1942. With 23,303 examples produced, the Pak 40 formed the backbone of German anti-tank guns for the later part of World War II, mostly in towed form, but also on a number of self propelled artillery such as the Marder series of Panzerjäger.
