Amber Museum
El Museo del Ambar, fundado en el 1982 por los esposos Ada (Didi) Benelli y Aldo Costa, expone tanto la historia como las nuestras del fósil vegetal más preciado del planeta, tanto desde el punto de vista científico como estético, el ámbar.
Este es el primer museo dedicado enteramente al ámbar de la República Dominicana. Posee una de las mejores colecciones de este mineral no metalífero, abriendo a los visitantes una ventana al mundo prehistórico.
The Amber Museum was founded in 1982 by Ada (Didi) Benelli and Aldo Costa, and its exhibit chronicles the history of amber with samples of the earth's most precious vegetable fossil, presented from a scientific and aesthic perspective.
The museum was the first of its kind dedicated entirely to amber in the Dominican Republic. Its collection of this non-metallic mineral is considered one of the best in the world. The museum provides visitors with a window on this prehistoric world.
