Rendant hommage a un effort de 40 ans en faveur de la paix et de la civilisation les representants du tourisme de ces nations ont inaugure la presente plaque le 21 aout 1938.
On August 4, 1898, the Ligue Internationale des Associations Touristes (L.I.A.T., “International League of Tourist Associations”) was founded at the Casino Bourgeois, which became the Alliance Internationale de Tourisme (A.I.T., “International Tourism Alliance”) on May 30, 1919. Today, the A.I.T. brings together 104 associations representing tourism from 61 different nations.
Paying tribute to a 40-year effort for peace and civilization, the tourism representatives of these nations inaugurated this plaque on August 21, 1938.
