Inscription.  
Le Monument National de la Solidarite Luxembourgeoise erige par souscription nationale a ete inaugure par leurs altesses royales le Grand-Duc et la Grande-Duchesse le 10 octobre 1971 en presence des autorites religieuses et civiles des organisations des resistants des enroles de force des anciens combattants et d'une grande foule de leurs compatriotes.

Il a ete eleve a la gloire de la solidarite du peuple Luxembourgeois pendant la Deuxieme Guerre mondiale et a la memoire des sacrifices supportes pour la survie de la patrie.

(English translation:)
The National Monument of Luxembourg Solidarity, erected by national subscription, was inaugurated by Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess on October 10, 1971 in the presence of religious and civil authorities, resistance organizations, conscripts, veterans and a large crowd of their compatriots.

It was raised to the glory of the solidarity of the Luxembourg people during the Second World War and in memory of the sacrifices made for the survival of the homeland.

3. National Monument of Luxembourg Solidarity
Inaugurated in October 1971, the ‘National Monument of Luxembourg Solidarity’ (Monument national de la solidarité luxembourgeoise) is located on the mound known as Kanounenhiwwel (mound of canons) in the city of Luxembourg. It is the central place for national commemorations of all the victims of the Second World War, underlining the solidarity that Luxembourgers showed during the dark years of Nazi oppression and occupation. - Liberation Route Europe
