Communication trench
Unlike Germany, the British Empire suffered no shortage of raw materials. Galvanized corrugated sheets and jute were therefore frequently used. Prefabricated duckboards and A-frames, solid beam structures in the form of an inverted letter A, enabled rapid construction. The design also allows for efficient drainage.
