Inscription.
Rotary International is a service organization with over 1.2 million Rotarians worldwide, united to bring together dedicated individuals to exchange ideas, build relationships, and take action by putting service above self. Paul P. Harris, a Chicago attorney, formed the first Rotary Club in Chicago on February 23, 1905. The Rotary Club of Chicago was crafted to become a place where professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas and form meaningful friendships.

The first Rotary Club in Danville, Virginia, began when five men gathered together in 1969 and believed that Rotarians would positively impact our community. Today, Danville hosts three Rotary Clubs: The Rotary Club of Danville, Danville Riverview Rotary, and Danville After Hours Rotary. Each club welcomes all individuals who are passionate about Rotary International's mission to provide service to others, promote integrity, advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
